copy/concept for www.dogtravelpro.com
One of the projects I've been working on has involved muscling up a homepage for dogtravelpro.com. It's been a work in progress (as these things can be) and what's made it so interesting and just plain FUN is working with The Dog Travel Pro herself: Carol Robson.
Carol's a pro in everything she does. It's her attitude. It's the vibe she puts out into the universe and it was an absolute joy working with her because she knows what she wants, she's clear about she needs and she's so confident.
This project has also been enjoyable because Carol's been hands on. The artwork and colour design is all hers and it's fantastic. Do check it out:

Technology .. yes ... AND I'll always love stationary stores!
I can't resist a stationary store. Sometimes even office supplies stores have put me right over the edge. I remember telling this to the GM interviewing me for a sales position with a well-known docu-management and digital printing company once and I could tell by the look on his face that he thought I was BSing him.
Why would anybody try to BS about something like that?
A mere 30 minutes ago I received a delivery that I've been waiting for a few days to receive: THE CRANE & CO. STATIONARY ORDER!
(sigh)
The only thing missing is the tactile experience. These cards -- my new business cards -- aren't the most exciting looking, but the card stock is 100% cotton. Smooth, almost comforting to the touch. The basic design was intentional: I sell ads for a military newspaper.
Have a look!

Make a new path .... Shovelling Crap .... Clear the Way.
The image above is the view from my stoop. The brownish frozen clump mashed in front of it is dog poop (not my dog's & it's driving her crazy.) As gross as it sounds, I've got frozen dog poop buried beneath the snow in my backyard ... even stuck in one spot like that. It doesn't bother me too much. Not as much as having to shovel the massive mound of ice bricks from the road that were piled up against the foot of my shovelled path.
Look down and you'll see what I mean ....
This image to the right gives you a better idea of what the end of
the path should actually look like. It's my neighbour's :-)
Mine looked like that on Sunday before the snow plows
came by and hoisted the ice from the road onto the path,
filling in about 30 minutes of shovelling (sigh.)
Anyway.
There's no use complaining. Clearly my neighbour has the right
idea: Make a New Path. It's a simple as that.
When life blows chunks of whatever the substance,
clear the way & make a new path.
